Tips for Maintaining Motivation During COVID-19

Struggling with infertility is challenging, even in the best of times. The isolation and fear brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic make the journey toward a successful pregnancy even harder. Trying to stay positive and motivated during these uncertain times takes physical and mental energy. It is not an easy task, but it’s possible. Here are a few tips for maintaining motivation during COVID-19.

Tips for Maintaining Motivation During COVID-19

  • First know that it is OK to be tired and feel less motivated. Focus on daily realistic goals to help manage expectations and focus on your strengths and what you can accomplish. If things are not going your way on a particular day, focus on what you learned by it, use your resources to make different decisions. A problem-solving mindset will help you survive the trials and tribulations along the way.
  • After work each evening, disconnect from work, spend time relaxing, find a new hobby, or learn a new skill. This will help you recharge.
  • Stress and pressure reduce our capacity to make decisions both good and bad. Focus on the good habits you have acquired over the years. The road goes ever on and the light at the end of the tunnel is not the light of an oncoming train!
  • If you are seeking help and having trouble receiving the care you need contact us. Our Telemedicine services make initial and follow up consults easier no matter where you are.

What to Expect With a Virtual Appointment

A virtual fertility consultation involves speaking with our doctors using simple video conferencing technology over your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Our initial consultations are always the best way to get to know each other and discuss options. Meeting virtually gives you the same experience as meeting in person without having to leave your home. The secure technology allows one of our board-certified reproductive endocrinologists to go over your medical history, goals for your family, recommended testing, and options for fertility treatment.

If you prefer, we are happy to see you in any one of our locations. When you are ready to take the first step, we are ready to help guide you on your journey to parenthood.
