Access to Affordable Fertility Services
Nearly half of people suffering infertility don’t seek assistance according to a new study from London presented at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology in Helsinki, Finland. Investigators reported that one in eight women and one in ten men had experienced infertility defined as the inability to become pregnant after one year of trying yet, 43% of these women and 47% of these men did not seek medical assistance. Those who did seek care were more likely to be better educated, wealthier and older than those who did not seek care.
